CHURCH HISTORY
In October of 1961, the family of Harry Klase, plus a few friends, worked hard to clean up a storeroom at 531 Market Street, Lykens, in order to begin services to introduce to this area the Pentecostal or Full Gospel Testimony. The first service was held Sunday, October 15, with just six in attendance--five were from the Klase Family, the other was Mrs. Lilly Keim, who has since gone to be with the Lord.
The services continued with an increase in number, as people from other churches visited and helped to promote the work.
A constitution was drawn up and the church was incorporated under the laws of Pennsylvania, as an independent church with all legal rights. Later, the United States Internal Revenue Service granted tax exemption. In 1963, the former Coaldale school building was purchased and converted to facilitate the expanding program of the church. A lovely sanctuary and several Sunday School rooms were made ready in the new church. New pews were added, and later, carpeting at the front of the sanctuary. A Hammond Organ was purchased, and many other things added to enhance the worship services.
The church has seen many souls saved over the years, and many have been baptised in the Holy Ghost.
Several miraculous healings have also taken place, plus many other minor healings and deliverences.
Young people have gone off to Bible College to prepare for Christian ministry.
From the Very beginning of Miracle Revival Church, healings and miracles have been evident. Jesus Christ is the healer and manifests His mighty power whenever a person reaches forth to touch Him, even today. Among the many who have been miraculously healed int he past was a young man who was healed instantly of torn ligaments; another man of advanced tuberculosis; a lady scheduled for open heart surgery; a man with a hernia; a lady sent to the hospital for an appendectomy. Still others have been healed of nervousness, migraine headaches, weak eyes, cancer, heart ailments, circulatory troubles, and countless other afflictions.
You too can be healed. Faith for healing comes easily, by hearing the teaching of the Word of God. You are welcome to come and hear messages that will inspire your faith and help you to touch the Lord Jesus for your need.
